Lester William Polfuss, known as Les Paul, dies at age 94. Les Paul died of complications from severe pneumonia at White Plains Hospital.

An inventor and a Grammy Award-winning guitar virtuoso and inventor, the Guitar Legend who had helped give rise to modern popular music, including rock ‘n’ roll. Among his achievements are: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the National Inventors Hall of Fame, and the National Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
