An autopsy was made and according to Dr. Vernard Adams, the cause of Billy Mays’ death is hypertensive heart disease. His heart was heavier than normal, with an enlarged left ventricle, all signs of hypertensive heart disease.

Billy Mays was found dead unresponsive by his wife Deborah on Sunday morning and he was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m. Billy Mays is known for his shouting OxiClean ads and products such as Orange Glo, and he was also featured on the Discovery Channel’s reality TV show, “Pitchmen.” Billy Mays died at 50 and an autopsy was done and will be completed on Monday.
