    This photo was taken during our GenSan Tour, 2nd day of the 2nd Mindanao Blogging Summit I hurriedly grab my mobile phone to capture this driver on the act of Texting while driving! Tsk… Tsk… Tsk… I am glad nothing bad happened to us though…

    Texting + Driving = DANGER!

    This is not the first time I see someone texting while driving, I have seen numerous of drivers even here in Davao City doing that. Philippines was tagged as the Texting Capital of the World and I guess most of the driver here in the Philippines are texting while driving. Agree or disagree? Did you know that Texting while Driving is the 12th most common accident in the country since 2006? Drivers out there should think twice now before sending text messages while driving. Beside it’s being dangerous you could be nailed in jail if ever you will be caught.

    House Bill No. 4917 proposes a jail term of up to six months and a maximum fine of P100,000. Exempted from the bill are law enforcers, drivers of rescue vehicles and ambulances and people from media.

    A number of countries like Australia, France, South Korea and Japan restrict or ban cell phone use while driving. The cities of Manila, Makati and Cebu had banned the practice on paper, but it has not been strictly enforced, the AAP said. Cyril L. Bonabente, Inquirer Research

    I hope this law will be enforced in Davao too or if possible, in all over the Philippines.

    The lives of the people inside and outside your vehicle is at your stake… Be a responsible driver, DON’T TEXT WHILE DRIVING!

      @twinks: hahaha mao gyud, pwede ra kaayo piyungan.. tsk3.. pero careful lang jud dapat mga drivers. Dili nalang jud mag text2 while driving.

      @jhelo: yeah buti nlng tlga safe kami, mablog jud dayun ug ahat c manong if ever… hahaha.. basi katext niya iyha asawa… :D

      wow yeah alam mo pati minsan un mga jeepney drivers nag te-text while driving may batas na pala para diyan hmmm sige sisitahin ko na … bitaw minsan nakakatakot eh baka maya anong mangyari…
