I woke up and felt the earthquake but I was so sleepy to even care (duh!). I was just asleep for a few hours when it happened. I felt dizzy when I open my eyes, I don’t know if it’s because of lack of sleep or the earthquake was really that strong. When I felt that it was gone, I closed my eyes again and doze off… When I woke up again and checked my Plurk, I saw a few of my friends posts about the recent earthquake on my timeline. So, I was not really dreaming, lol. The quake is a magnitude 4 here in Davao City while a magnitude of 5.3 was felt in Tagum City. The earthquake happened at around 8:07 a.m., three hours after I have slept.
It was just two days ago (June 12, 2010) when an earthquake with a magnitude of 7 hits Port-au-Prince, Haiti. An estimate of 40,000-50,000 people were killed. Buildings, houses, churches, hospitals and other major landmarks were damaged including the Presidential Palace.
The world is still in shock after the Haiti Earthquake and now a magnitude of 5.6 earthquake also hits Venezuela, Friday, June 15, 2010. It’s a relief that there were no news of casualties and damages was reported.
