
At age 59, John Hughes, director of ‘The Breakfast Club’ and ‘Sixteen Candles,’ has died of heart attack while taking a morning walk during a trip to NYC to visit family.
John Hughes, Jr. (February 18, 1950 – August 6, 2009) was an American film director, producer and writer.
