I Love Monster Hunter Freedom 2

I have just started playing Monster Hunter Freedom 2 in PSP just this week and I am sooo addicted to it… My sister introduced me to that role playing and adventure game. First, I took the Training but I was too excited to play and didn’t finish it all, hahaha… I choose the Great Sword as my weapon but later on I choose the Long Sword. It is quite heavy for the hunter but once it strikes the monster it would do great damage.  First, I still have this ordinary ‘Mofu‘ Armor suit, since I still can’t afford to buy one.

What I like most about this game is that you can create and improved an armor and weapons from the things that you could get on the monsters that you are hunting. You can choose to buy it but it costs much. There several types and kinds of weapons you can choose to create, ofcourse I choose the one that has a higher attack and defense. At first I was just using a Bone then I improved it to Large Bone and from Large Bone, I improved it to an Iron Katana and to Iron Katana ‘Grace’ now I just improved it Dark Scythe which has an attack of 624. I really had a hard time hunting for the materials needed for this weapon because the monster Cephadrome is difficult for me to defeat.

Anyways, I also improved all my Mofu Armors to Giaprey Helm, Giaprey Mail, Giaprey Vembraces, Giaprey Tasset and Giaprey Greaves. I hunt a lot of monster named Giaprey in order to have a Giaprey Scale and Giaprey Hide which is the one  I will be needing to create my armors.

My next target weapon is a Tormentor which has an attack of 912 but I still don’t know how to find the materials needed for it. Still have to find out hehehehe…

You also have a Pokke Farm where you can plant seeds, a mine, collect bugs and you can go fishing! You can gather a lot of materials there that u can use especially for combining.

For you to have Pokke points to renovate your Pokke Farm, buy weapons and armors or any materials you might need, you have to fulfill all the Quests like: Gathering, Hunting and Slaying. As your level goes up the more difficult the monster are to defeat and some of them are pretty scary! I would bring lots of potions and mega potions with me if I would fight the bigger monsters hehehe…

The Felyn cats told me to combine herb and mushroom to create a potion. If you want a mega potion, combine the potion with honey. you can only bring 10 of it when you are on quest. Here’s the other combinations that I have learned:

Cool Drink: Bitterbug + Crystal Ice (found when mining)

Hot Drink: Bitterbug + Hot Pepper (you can find it in the desserts)

Bomb Material: Stone + Sap Plant

Smoke Bomb: Bomb Material + Ivy

Poison Smoke Bombs: Bomb Material + Poisonous Mushroom

Gun Powder: Fire Herb + Nitroshoom

Flash Bomb: Bomb Material + Flashbug

Power Coating: Empty bottle + Hot Mushroom

Armore Sphere: Armor Stone + Killerbee / Machalite Ore

Catalyst: Bitterbug + Honey

Energy Drink: Honey + Sunset Herb

Pitfall Trap: Trap Tool + Net

If you want to order food from the Felyne kitchen be aware of what ingredients you will combine, it might decrease the amount of your health, stamina, attack and etc. Here’s what I have tried:

Meat Scraps + Tough Meat can add 10 points to your health.

Cube Steak + Wild bacon = Health increase.

Northern Orange + Carefree Yogurt can raise your resistance.

Salmon + Tuna can increase your attack.

At first I still didn’t know how to combine and my health and stamina would decrease, lol. So, be careful, you should combine meat with meat, but don’t add the fish with the meat it would lessen your stamina. A Fish combined with fish can boost your attack also while the other combinations don’t have an effect.
